Casual luxe looks are all about combining dressy pieces with casual, comfy ones. I think velvet is the perfect material for casual luxe dressing. It’s especially easy now that you can find an abundance of velvet this time of year. Everything from velvet booties, clutches, chokers, to leggings, you can find just about anything in this material these days!

Velvet is no longer just for a formal occasion. There are a ton of ways to add a casual touch of velvet to your winter outfits. You can transition from day to night seamlessly too, by just changing your accessories or adding some dressy booties or sandals!

Keep It Casual Luxe

I love the idea of velvet in the form of a more casual accessory, like this velvet baseball cap and velvety top in a boxy tee silhouette. It lets you wear velvet without looking too dressy. I’m a big fan of casual luxe outfits like this because you can instantly elevate your look but still be comfy at the same time. Let’s be honest, I think being comfy may be the most important thing when it comes to your clothing, especially when it’s chilly out!

If you want to dress it up some more, I love a cute velvet shoe to elevate your look. They go great with some ripped girlfriend jeans to keep it casual luxe. If you’re really loving the velvet, like me, you can combine multiple pieces for a head to toe velvet look. Because the pieces are styled casually, you won’t look overdressed.
